Happy New Year!

The three of us spent New Year's Eve with some of our church family. We got together at one of the high schools again this year. There was a slide show, talent show, basketball, ping pong, good food and great company. Abbey was her normal easy going self. She fell asleep on me for about an hour and a half during the talent show. It is amazing how babies can sleep through all of the noise. The highlight was our little Blair's (3 years old) reading of A Wocket in my Pocket by Dr. Suess. ADORABLE!

Michelle, Scott, sis flew down for a few days and it was fun getting to spend some time with her. It was a quick visit, but we were glad she got go come. We bought a different vechicle last weekend and she bought my Honda. I love my Rav4, but I am going to miss "Rhonda my Honda." She was a great car. I might be one of the only people who gets sentamental about cars...I still miss my little red Saturn sometimes. :-)

It truly is amazing how Abbey seems to change so fast. She has been reaching for toys and bringing everything she can to her mouth. She chews on her hands and toys a lot. Nena and Pa bought her a little doll for Christmas that has all these bright and crazy colors on it. The dress crinkles and the doll rattles and makes other sounds when you move her. Abbey loves her Emily doll and talks and talks to her. The first thing she does with her is shove her right in her face. Abbey also pulls her blanket up when she is in her crib or bassinet to sleep. The other night I walked in and she had pulled the blanket all the way up over her head and completely off her legs...she was just babbling away under the blanket. Sometimes she will hold the blanket with both hands and pump her arms up and down to where it looks like she is playing peak-a-boo. She is so fun!
