In February Nena, Pa, Kate, Shelby, Scott, Abbey and two pregnant sisters loaded up into my parents SVU and headed to sunny Florida! We first traveled to Tampa to spend some time with my parents long-time friends, the Trasks. The vacation was nice on so many levels: being able to spend time with Scott and the rest of the family, getting away from the normal day and changing things up a bit, meeting up for lunch with the Wilcox/Craig family and being able to toss off the wool coats and put on a tank top!! I think we should make a trip somewhere sunny every mid-winter. :) All three girls had a blast! Although Abbey pretty much hated the characters and cried at just about every picture attempt, she loved Disney. We spent four days at the parks and visited Magic Kingdom twice, Animal Kingdom and Hollywood studios. All three were fabulous.

The three of us in front of Cinderella's castle. Five month baby bump!

Abbey's first encounter with one of the characters went rather well. She was apprehensive, but hugged and talked to Pocahontas...

...this was the next picture we took and it pretty much went downhill from there.

Parade time! Abbey's was in absolute awe the entire parade. Here eyes would get huge when one of her favorites (Minnie, Micky, Tinkerbell or any princess) would look directly at her and wave. They do such a great job at Disney. The park staff would greet Abbey and say "hello little princess. "It really is a magiacal place for kids!
Goofing off before one of the parades.

Laura and six month baby Allie bump! Kate and Shelby are passed out! Those two can/will sleep anywhere.

Nena, Scott and Abs.

Abbey fought her naps like no other. At home I can just throw her in bed and she sleeps really well, but if there is action going on this girl is afraid she is going to miss something. She finally passed out on the train ride after literally threatening her if she didn't stop moving. As soon as she got still she passed out so we rode the train twice because of course as soon as we get moving and she hears people around her...she's up and ready to go.

crazy nap hair! :)

We found a silly monkey at the Swiss family Robinson tree house.

By far the BEST picture we got of Abbey and any character. Sleeping beauty accidentally bumped heads with Abbey (probably because Abbey was squirming and trying to get away from her) and Abbey talked and talked about how Sleeping Beauty hit her head and "wasn't berry nice." haha! Oh well, she seems to have forgotten it now and hasn't held a grudge.

Abbey did really well with Belle (one of her favorites) and even talked to her and showed her the princess shirt she was wearing.

Then shockingly voluntarily held her hand! Sooo.....

I thought maybe we could get a picture of just Abbey and Belle....nope.

Did I mention she fights naps. This was the first day we were there. We got to the park not long after it opened and stayed until close to watch the parade and fireworks.

Pa, Nena and Shelby on Dumbo

My two cuties!

Abbey's first ride, It's a small world. I was able to ride any ride that Abbey could ride and I was so thankful to be able to see her excitement each time.

Sweet cousins playing princess in the condo.
She was NOT feeling pooh. Check out her eyes. Maybe if I just close my eyes he'll go away!

My sweet little blue-eyed red head!

She is also a bit goofy. :)

You can't tell from the picture, but she actually got excited to see Mickey...when he was far way.

"hugging" Minnie Mouse.

Apparently, this Minnie is more Abbey's pace. :)
